The Meeting was called to order by President Kowolonek.

The Pledge of Allegiance occurred.

A moment of Silence was observed for deceased members of UWUA Local 600.

Roll call was taken by Treasurer Boykin. Delegate King absent. All other board members present.

A motion was made by Treasurer Boykin to dispense with the reading of the last General Board Meeting minutes (due to a quorum not being present of the General Board for meetings in January and February 2019. Second by Delegate Waller. Motion passed

The Financial Report was given by Treasurer Boykin. President Kowolonek had items for discussion regarding increasing of the monthly funding amount to the UWUA Local 600, with Matt Darpel to provide amount needed for monthly payment of bills. A motion was made by Delegate King to accept the financial report and terms for increase of monthly funding to UWUA Local 600, per discussion provided. Second by Delegate Waller. Motion passed.

  • Local 600 received four (4) letters of solicitations for donations.
  • Active Heroes (group regarding Suicide Awareness and Prevention for veterans, offers $20.00 cards for discounts at various local businesses. (Offered to place on union boards by any board member who makes decision to post.)
  • Newport Fire Fighters – event at the Newport Aquarium 13 -1 5 May 2019, asking for a $300 donation.
  • Dragon Fly Foundation.
  • Union Sportsman Alliance – Shooting Clays in Owenton Kentucky.
  • A motion was made by Delegate Wright to make a donation to the Dragon Fly Foundation to sponsor at the $400.00 level (receives thirty 30 tickets to the event.) A raffle was discussed to distribute the tickets to the membership. Tickets will be provided to the General Board members to pass out to members in their assigned areas. Second by Treasurer Boykin. Discussion. Motion passed.
Unfinished Business – President Kowolonek
  • One Calls – Local 600 received 5, 000 credits at a saving of $100.00 on total cost.
  • A settlement was reached for Grievance #422 with Company.
  • Arbitration for Grievance #424 is scheduled for 23 – 24 April 2019.
  • Vistra Contract passed a ratification vote of 8-to 1.
New business
  • UEIP Grievance in April 2019. Customer Satification and issues that related (Enable Sub-Division and AMI issues that effected customer satisfaction.
  • Company GPS Letter — received for roll-out in May 2019.
  • ESA Interview processes – February 2019 – discussion.
  • Incorrect posting number – February 19, 2019 System Integrity
  • UWUA Magazine will have names for Local 600 retirees at next publishing.
  • National Convention will report retirees since last meeting in 2015.
  • Tentative Agreement – discussion topics to be discussed with membership. Items not listed on information sheets provided by company. (Article 5, Wage changes, Engineering Specialist training, inclement weather letter.
