The Meeting was called to order by President Kowolonek.

The Pledge of Allegiance occurred.

A moment of Silence was observed for deceased members of UWUA Local 600.

Roll call was taken by Vice President Hoffman. Treasurer Waller and Delegate Lyshe absent. All other board members present.

Previous month’s minutes were read by Secretary Wallace. A motion was made by Delegate Loerich to dispense with the reading of last month’s minutes. Second by Delegate Wright. Motion passed.

The financial Report was given by Vice President Hoffman. A motion was made by Delegate V. King to accept the Financial Report. Second by Delegate J. King. Motion passed. Copy of the Financial Report is on file at Local 600 office.

Communications – President Kowolonek
• Christmas card received from Carmelita Perez, from family who received gifts from UWUA Local 600. 3 children (from the Edgewood City Schools in Trenton Ohio.)
Unfinished Business – President Kowolonek
• Grievance #435 Contract Books – Received letter from Company 01-23-2020, grievance denied. During the next contract negotiations this will be a discussion item
• Grievance #433 – Meeting with company held 01-07-2020 to discuss CBS process. Additional meeting scheduled at Union Hall 02-06-2020 with UWUA National Rep (Kelly Cooper) & company.
• Chairs for Hall – Vice-President Hoffman has made purchase of new chairs for the Union Hall. The chairs currently at Union Hall will be donated by Local 600 to an agency.
• Distribution reorganization – Major Projects/ Op-Techs – meeting held on 01-27-2020 & 01-29-2020 (Delegate Wright to attend) SR WFMS/ OC Hand-raising & 4 new position posted.
• Website Update – President Kowolonek sent information packet on 01-21-2020 to UWUA National and is awaiting an update.
• Grievance #434 – PLS CAD (Transmission) waiting on answer from 3rd stage.
• By-Laws Books – President Kowolonek has ordered 75 books for Local 600 membership. Board will need to discuss putting together a By-Laws Committee with in the next few months.
• President Kowolonek has sent an email to Local 600 membership regarding Contracts attending Duke Energy meetings.
• NEW BUSINESS
• New ESA meeting scheduled 01-27-2020 to discuss creating a new position.
• Audio/Video on Duke-Energy property – Communication from Company.
• One Call Now – Set to expire 01-27-2020. President Kowolonek will renew for new year 2020 & beyond.
• President sent letter to Company regarding meeting with Local 600 members on Company site, 01-21-2020. (awaiting response.)
• REPORT OF OFFICERS, DELEGATES AND COMMITTEES
• President Kowolonek – will schedule a meeting with the company every quarter to discuss issues of importance for Local 600 membership.
• Secretary Wallace – provided an overview regarding the UWUA National Women’s Caucus. With directions and assistance of President Kowolonek – those in Local 600 membership will work to from a Women’s Caucus.
• Delegate McLaughlin – Discussion – increase in cost for parking for the Downtown Cincinnati work site. Scheduled meeting to discuss with Company How Local 600 members are being contacted when supervision is assigned outside of the Midwest region. Also discussed splitting of Major Project group to Transmission.
• Delegate V. King – Discussion regarding fact findings within AR.
• Dave Loerich – issues with meter reading and pay and reimbursements to company have been completed by those Local 600 members affected.
• Aaron Wright – discussed members positions regarding work they do, will take a re-look to re-evaluate within six (6) months.

Delegate Loerich made a motion to adjourn. Second by Delegate J. King. Meeting adjourned.
