The Meeting was called to order by President Kowolonek.

The Pledge of Allegiance occurred.

A moment of Silence was observed for deceased members of UWUA Local 600.

Roll call was taken by Treasurer Boykin. All board members present.

Previous month’s minutes were read by Secretary Wallace. A motion was made by Vice-President Hoffman to accept the reading of last’s month minutes. Second by Delegate King. Motion passed.

The financial Report was given by Delegate Waller. A motion was made by Delegate King to accept the Financial Report. Second by Delegate McLaughlin. Motion passed. Copy of the Financial Report is on file at Local 600 office.

Communications – President Kowolonek
• United Way – A motion was made by Delegate Long to donate to the UWUA- National United Way Campaign for the same amount donated in 2018. Second by Delegate King. Motion passed.
Unfinished Business – President Kowolonek
• Storm Team – Delegate Wright – Kevin Gray appointed to storm team. Discussion regarding the clarification regarding six-teen (16) hour call-out for local and out-of-town storms and the driver and driver partner rooming together.
• Union Cards – Cards will be distributed by Delegates in the work area.
• Vistra Severance – 1 member has accepted the severance package offered. A letter was sent on 10-24-2019 regarding next step processes by membership.
• Grievance # 433 – Information request received, scheduling 3rd stage.
• Elections Committee – UWUA Local 600 – 2019 Election results completed and posted on the union boards in work areas.
• Contracts 2019 –Vestra contracts have been returned for signatures. Discussion with Duke-Energy regarding printing issues.
• Rep/Delegate Dinner – Delegate McLaughlin will be processing arrangements.
• President Kowolonek and Vice-President Hoffman and Delegate King are scheduled to meet with new Call Center Class on Monday, 10-28-2019, and meet new RSR.
• Movement to new titles created for Natural Gas GIS – has been processed.
• Rep/ Delegate training was postponed until 2020, with Local 175. Training may be rescheduled with Julia Ford.
• America Income Life – President Kowolonek meet with Amanda Cross to discuss mailings to membership. The membership is remined, you do not need to send the card back in, only send if you want more information or to discuss purchasing additional insurance. The ADA policy for $3,000 is automatic without the card being returned.
• Call Center Customer Service Carnival – President Kowolonek and Vice-President Hoffman were invited to attend. Call Center employee received nice gifts while participating.
• New Web Site – President Kowolonek discussed with the UWUA National regarding set-up and monthly maintenance for Local 600. There is an initial fee to set-up and a monthly fee paid to the National.
• Benefit Enrollment – President Kowolonek will process a robo-call to the membership to remind they have until November 8, 2019 to select benefit for 2020. He will also make emphasis regarding contributing to 401K, amount needed to receive seed-money, LTD (extra insurance) and NON-Smoker program for both member and dependents.
• Christmas Families 2019 – A motion was made by Delegate Long to provide for families in Ohio & Kentucky same amount made in 2018. Second by Treasurer Boykin. Motion passed. Union member Carmelita Perez and Kerri Goss volunteered to make purchases and distribute to families.
• Vice-President Hoffman – new chairs needed for hall, to replace two (2) that are broken. Motion was made by Vice-President Hoffman to remove broken chairs. Second Delegate King. Motion passed.
• President Kowolonek and Board members gave Thanks to Treasure Boykin and Delegate Long for all their work and support.

Delegate Long made a motion to adjourn. Second by Treasurer Boykin. Meeting adjourned.
